Heaptalk, Jakarta — Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas encouraged the community and digital activists to cooperate to improve Indonesia’s digital government (e-government) implementation.
Based on his statement, Digital transformation in services is a necessity. Following the government’s accomplishment of constructing the physical toll roads, the Minister claimed that the government will gradually digitize public services. For this reason, he looks forward to the technology practitioners’ contribution to building a mature digital ecosystem in the country.
“We have met with various communities at the Data Science Weekend in collaboration with the Digital Alliance group, including the Indonesia Cloud Community, Female Geek, Data Engineering Indonesia, and the Indonesian Data Scientist Association. They are excited about discussing e-government.” Anas said in his statement.
He said the government continues to reorganize public service digitalization through the SPBE architecture. Minister Anas highlighted that one of the paradigms regarding digitalization is creating an application for each new program, impacting the increase of the number of applications within the government entities, attaining 27,000 platforms.
In its progress, he conveyed that the SPBE architectural development has been coordinated with the Ministry of PANRB, Ministry of Tech, Ministry of Finance, Bappenas, and Ministry of Home Affairs. This coordination is related to the preparation of digital transformation managers, such as Govtech, whose presidential regulations will soon be finalized.
“The government has prepared the SPBE architecture (e-government) well in line with trends, such as digital ID, digital payment, and data exchange. We have also completed several quick wins, including licensing for events at seven MICE points, which will be held online.” Anas said.
He added that the maturity of SPBE which demonstrated an increase will enhance the corruption perception index, ease of business, and competitiveness. The support of the digital community will ensure that Indonesia’s digital ecosystem is formed in a structured manner with public and private sector collaboration.
