Heaptalk, Jakarta — The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko ‘Jokowi‘ Widodo, launches Government Technology (GovTech) Indonesia on May 27th, 2024, at the State Palace.
In his speech, Jokowi delivered, “I am launching GovTech Indonesia under the name INA Digital this morning,”
Further, Jokowi mentioned that the launch of GovTech will enable public services to be integrated into a single platform. He affirmed that Ministries and Agencies will manage this government system according to their respective duties and functions.
Meanwhile, the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), Abdullah Azwar Anas, announced in a press release that various preparations had been finalized, including coordination and consolidation with ministries/agencies related to accelerating Integrated Priority Digital Services.
“The PANRB Ministry, as the Chair of the SPBE Coordination Team, collaborates with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN/Bappenas), BSSN, BRIN, BPKP, Perum Peruri, and various other ministries/agencies, including state-owned enterprises, in organizing the SPBE Summit and preparing for GovTech,” Anas said in Jakarta.
Anas stated, “The spirit of integration must become a new approach, leaving behind the culture of one innovation per application, resulting in thousands of applications across various government agencies. The abundance of these applications has ultimately made it difficult to achieve interoperability, simplifying and enhancing their usefulness in serving the public. Therefore, the GovTech launched by the President today is not just an application or platform but a provider of integrated services, as government agencies have had their services requiring the public to download many applications.”
Anas also explained that the SPBE Summit is a momentum to promote the development of government digital services that are citizen-centric or based on people’s needs.
“This event will also mark a new historical milestone as the government launches GovTech as a provider of integrated digital government service solutions, spanning infrastructure, national portals, to priority public digital services,” he concluded.
