Heaptalk, Jakarta — Maxim and Omega, Gojek and Grab now have another competitor in the ride-hailing sector called Zendo.
Zendo is an online motorcycle taxi application established by Muhammadiyah a few years ago, with Lutfi Azizah as its CEO. Lutfi stated that the company operates in 25 cities, including Tangerang and Bekasi. Lutfi Azizah also mentioned that Zendo is targeted to operate in 70 cities across Indonesia by 2025.
“Operational rights have already been granted for 70 cities. However, those that are up and running are still limited to 25 cities,” Lutfi said in a recent press release in East Java.
Lutfi added that 45 other cities have obtained operational licenses for this ride-hailing service. Besides Bekasi and Tangerang, this gojek competitor is also present in several cities across Yogyakarta, Bali, East Java, Sumatra, and Kalimantan. For Jakarta, Lutfi stated that it is targeted to be a city with Zendo users by 2025.
“Jakarta has already received operational rights, but our team is still refining everything to ensure we can sustain in Jakarta,” Azizah concluded.
