Awards from the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Limpo were given to 39 regional heads for their dedication, contribution, and success in their respective regions.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — East Kutai Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman received an award from the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo for his support for the agricultural sector in the regency. The award was handed over at the closing ceremony of the XVI Fishermen and Farmers National Week in Padang City (06/15).
The award was given by the Governor of West Sumatra Mahyeldi which took place at Sutan Sjahrir Airfield, Prof. Dr. Hamka Street, Parupuk Tabing Village, Koto Tengah District, Padang City.

Recently, Ardiansyah through the Food Crops, Horticulture, and Livestock Service (DTPHP) has taken several steps to develop the agricultural sector in East Kutai, spanning distributing agricultural equipment and machinery assistance to ten farmer groups in the regency, approving the development of Teluk Pandan as an agrotourism destination, and encouraging the expansion of organic rice planting on the Padaidi Farmer Group’s land.
In total, there were 39 regional heads who received awards from the Minister of Agriculture, including the East Kutai Regent. Dedi Nursyamsi, Mahyeldi, and Chairman of the Outstanding Farmers and Fishermen Association (KTNA) Mohamad Yadi Sofyan Noor took turns giving awards on behalf of the Minister.
On this occasion, the committee also announced the grand champion of the XVI Fishermen and Farmers National Week, namely the Central Kalimantan Province Contingent. Meanwhile, the host for the next National Week is the Gorontalo Province.
This National Week is expected to be a monumental commitment from the central, regional, and all stakeholders to accelerate agricultural development towards Indonesia becoming a world food barn in 2045.
“The Fishermen and Farmer National Week is expected to be a joint commitment to accelerate agricultural development in various programs and policies in each region to anticipate the global food crisis and maintain national food independence and sovereignty,” concluded Dedi.
