Heaptalk, Jakarta – The Software as a Service (SaaS) Company for human resource and financial management Mekari has officially acquired Qontak, a technology company focusing on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Omnichannel Communication solutions.
The acquisition is made so that the company can be more active in product development and strengthening the digitalization of the business that currently on the management of Human Resources, Accounting, Inventory, Taxation, and Employee Benefits.
As cited from Techinasia, this April, Mekari has completed a series D funding worth US$18 led by Money Forward Inc. Join also on the funding round EV Growth and MidPlaza Holding. Mekari is using the funds to accelerate product development and grow its product and engineering team. Besides its main human resources, accounting, and tax processing products, the company also launched Mekari Chat, a communications platform integrated with its HR system and employee benefits solution Mekari Flex.
Chief Executive Officer of Mekari, Suwandi, said this brilliant initiative is worthwhile for the company since Qontak provides things that can increase its service value, including boost the client’s revenue and create interactive and better communication experience and increase the productivity of the sales team and support.
The Qontak Omnichannel Communication App is integrated into WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, so it helps both business owners and their customers maintain good communication through any communication channels.
Founder & CEO Qontak Brendan Rakphongphairoj explained that the Qontak business was increasing over the last two years. It has successfully recorded double-digit growth in each month. Brendan also added that Qontak is a shortcut and nice to have to achieve the growth hacks since it helps users grow their revenue efficiently by increasing the sales team’s productivity and applying automated communication with the customer Qontak platform.
After this official acquisition, Brendan will join as the top management in Mekari and still lead Qontak.com as one of the unit businesses by Mekari.
