Heaptalk, Jakarta — Astra Land Indonesia (ALI) has cooperated with DBL Indonesia to establish the first DBL Academy branch in Jakarta. Situated in Asya, a premium township in East Jakarta, the academy will serve as a modern, inclusive sports hub spanning 3,300 square meters.
Notably, Asya has previously earned the prestigious Gold Greenship Neighborhood certification from the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI), affirming its commitment to eco-friendly design and energy efficiency. With this new sports facility, Asya—currently home to five residential clusters and a commercial area—further solidifies its position as a premium township boasting world-class amenities designed to support an active and healthy lifestyle.
Establishing the DBL Academy and additional sports facilities will benefit Asya’s residents and provide surrounding communities with high-quality recreational spaces. Moreover, this initiative addresses the pressing need for modern, inclusive sports facilities in East Jakarta to nurture the younger generation’s development.
Wibowo Muljono, President Director of Astra Land Indonesia, stated, “Our partnership with DBL Indonesia represents a strategic step in expanding premium facilities at Asya. We are proud to be the first location in Jakarta to host DBL Academy’s largest stand-alone branch, which also features tennis courts—a first for DBL in this area. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to delivering added value and supporting the active lifestyles of Asya’s residents.”
As a pioneer in promoting basketball participation in Indonesia, DBL Indonesia brings its expertise to the new DBL Academy, offering basketball training programs for children aged 4 to 18, from preschool to high school. Additionally, adult tennis courts mark a significant highlight, setting this facility apart from others in the region.
“We are thrilled to bring DBL Academy and additional sports facilities to Jakarta in collaboration with Astra Land Indonesia,” said Masany Audri, Director of DBL Indonesia. “This is a significant milestone in expanding our reach while introducing accessible sports facilities. We are confident that DBL Academy in Asya will emerge as a premier sports center, fostering youth participation and promoting healthy communities.”
Scheduled to begin operations in 2026, this facility will complement Asya’s existing premium offerings, including a clubhouse and the SIS international school. By integrating sustainability, wellness, and modern facilities, Asya aims to provide a living environment that balances the needs of its residents and the broader community.
