Heaptalk, Jakarta — PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) announced that it sales until November 2024 experienced a slight improvement.
“By November 2024, Honda motorcycle sales reached 4.6 million units, a slight increase of 0.9% compared to last year,” said Ahmad Muhibuddin, General Manager Corporate of AHM stated in a press release on Tuesday (12/17)
Motorcycle sales figures, based on the official website of the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI), reached 5,929,830 units from January to November 2024. This figure increased slightly compared to last year’s period, which was 5,809,959 units, up by 2.0%.
By November 2024, AHM has controlled at least 77% of the national motorcycle market share. Regarding segmentation, scooters still dominate domestic sales, with a composition of 90.26% in November 2024. Underbone or mopeds contributed 5.42%, while sport motorcycles contributed 4.32%.
On this occasion, AHM also announced the launch of its two latest electric motorcycles, the Honda ICON e: and CUV e:. They are priced between Rp28 million and Rp59.55 million.
“We strive to always provide efficient, environmentally friendly riding options with the best quality and high safety standards for the people in Indonesia,” said Octavianus Dwi, Marketing Director of AHM.
Octavianus also said that when fully charged, these electric motorcycles can travel 53 km. Meanwhile, their electric motor can deliver a power output of 1.8 kW and a top speed of 55 km/hour.
