Displaying tourism potential, Kaltim Fest 2023 was held for nine days on July 7-15 enlivened by around 80 activities, 80 characters, and 80 models.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Tourism Department (Dispar) participated in the East Kalimantan Festival (Kaltim Fest) 2023 which was held for nine days on July 7-15, 2023 at the Indoor Hall, Samarinda Convention Center. Occupying a stand in the middle of the area, the Department displays information on multiple tourist attractions in East Kutai and local MSME products.
Attending the opening ceremony, the Head of the East Kutai Tourism Department Nurullah said that East Kutai’s participation in the Kaltim Fest 2023 aims to disseminate the Regency’s tourism potential, as cited by ProKutim. He said, “We will provide completed, updated, and clear information that visitors can obtain when visiting the East Kutai Tourism Department stand.”
Through the festival, the Department also wants to boost tourist visits to the Regency. Thus far, there has been an increase in visits in early 2023, amounting to 219,000 visitors. “Our target this year can increase 100%. The hope is that tourism in East Kutai can be further increased,” Nurullah added.
East Kalimantan Festival 2023 consists of several activities, including the Kemilau Festival, the Kaltim Dance, and the Kaltim Creative Week. Commencing the event, East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor said that Kaltim Fest 2023 is the biggest event in the history of the province which is enlivened by around 80 activities, 80 characters, and 80 models for nine days.
Isran voiced, “Hopefully the Kaltim Fest 2023 will run as expected. I am sure there will be agreements, meetings, and close friendships between members from multiple districts/cities in East Kalimantan.”
