Heaptalk, Jakarta — The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) held a Coordination Meeting to establish the leadership for the Industrial-ISAC at the BSSN office in Depok. The meeting aimed to bolster cyber resilience within the industrial sector.
Cahyono Adhifatra, Director of Industrial Cyber and Crypto Security at BSSN, emphasized that adopting digital technology in industries has consistently increased annually, driving efficiency and innovation. However, this progress simultaneously raises cybersecurity risks.
“Industrial-ISAC serves as a strategic initiative to enhance collaboration among industries in addressing these challenges,” he stated.
The Industrial-ISAC is a strategic platform to strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem within the industrial sector. By utilizing a Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) sharing platform similar to what has been implemented through Nat-ISAC, this measure is expected to significantly contribute to combating increasingly complex cyber threats.
During the meeting, participants discussed actionable recommendations and concrete steps to improve cyber resilience in the industrial sector.
“We hope that Industrial-ISAC will act as a game-changer in advancing the cybersecurity capabilities of the industrial sector. Synergy and innovation are key to addressing the increasingly complex cybersecurity challenges,” said Director Cahyono.
The event highlights the institution’s objective to continually improve Indonesia’s cyber security, particularly within the industrial and construction services sectors, through governance, risk management, ecosystem development, and maturity assessments of cybersecurity measures.
In this meeting, Muhammad Ali Sofyan from SIG was officially appointed as the Chairman of Industrial-ISAC. His leadership is expected to drive collaboration across industries, fostering information sharing, experiences, and best practices to enhance national cyber resilience.
“With the establishment of Industrial-ISAC leadership, we hope to strengthen inter-industry collaboration. BSSN invites all the program’s members to work together, innovate, and enhance capacity in tackling cybersecurity challenges to achieve stronger national cyber resilience,” Cahyono concluded.
