Heaptalk, Jakarta — Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian, on behalf of President Prabowo, officially inaugurated Fadjry Djufry as the Acting Governor of South Sulawesi at the Sasana Bhakti Praja Building, Ministry of Home Affairs Headquarters. The appointment was made under Presidential Decree No. 170/P of 2024.
Fadjry, a Senior High-Ranking Official and the Head of the Agricultural Instrument Standardization Agency (BSIP) of the Ministry of Agriculture succeeds Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, who has been promoted to Head of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) of the Republic of Indonesia.
In his speech, the Minister of Home Affairs advised Fadjry to communicate effectively with his team and coordinate with relevant parties, including the regional legislative council, Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and local community leaders. As a native of South Sulawesi, Fadjry is expected to perform his duties well.
“To all attendees and the people of South Sulawesi, please welcome the new leader. Although the transition period before the definitive governor’s inauguration is short, this period is crucial to ensure a smooth transition,” the Minister stated.
The Minister emphasized the extensive experience of Fadjry Djufry in the agricultural sector, which is anticipated to benefit South Sulawesi, a significant food production region in Indonesia. The Minister also stressed the importance of implementing central government programs, such as addressing stunting, fulfilling nutritional needs for children and pregnant women, providing free nutritious meals, and promoting downstream programs. These initiatives, he noted, are President Prabowo Subianto’s priorities.
The Minister also expressed gratitude to Zudan Arif Fakrulloh for his service, acknowledging his extensive experience in government, including his role as Secretary of the National Border Management Agency (BNPP). In South Sulawesi, Zudan contributed to flood management efforts with Forkopimda, a task Fadjry is encouraged to continue.
“I am proud of the trust and responsibility that Zudan Arif Fakrulloh has carried, and I sincerely thank you. Our collaboration over the past five years, during my tenure as Minister of Home Affairs, has been fruitful, and I release him with genuine happiness,” the Minister concluded.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk, representatives from Forkopimda Sulsel, and several officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
