Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti) held a press conference on Friday (01/24) in South Tangerang City, Banten Province, to present its performance achievements throughout 2024 and its strategic steps for 2025.
The press conference was led by Tirta Karma Senjaya, Head of Bappebti. In his remarks, Tirta Karma Senjaya stated that Bappebti is committed to strengthening commodity futures trading (PBK) as an instrument for enhancing Indonesia’s leading commodity trade through the establishment of reference prices.
Tirta also presented several of Bappebti’s achievements throughout 2024. “The aim is to provide optimism for better PBK (commodity futures trading) growth in 2025 and the years ahead,” said Tirta.
To strengthen supervision and enforcement, in 2024, Bappebti routinely conducted supervision and monitoring of illegal PBK activities. He added, “Bappebti has blocked 1,046 domain sites of illegal entities in the commodity futures trading field. Additionally, Bappebti is also active as a member of the Task Force for the Eradication of Illegal Financial Activities (Satgas PASTI).”
Bappebti’s press conference on performance achievements and strategic steps was attended by Olvy Andrianita, Secretary of the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency; Heryono Hadi Prasetyo, Head of the Warehouse Receipt System and Commodity Auction Market Development Bureau; and Muhammad Rivai Abbas, Head of the Public Relations Bureau.
