Heaptalk, Jakarta – Indonesia’s President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo officially opened Inacraft on October at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Wednesday (10/04). In his opening remarks, Jokowi appreciated the Association of Exporter and Producers of Indonesian Handicraft (ASEPHI) as the host for involving the rising generation to amplify craft industry.
“This craft expo provides a special space for young generation, including youthpreneur and artisan, especially Gen Z to showcase their creativity,” said President Jokowi during the opening ceremony of Inacraft on October 2023.
He added that ASEPHI’s initiative for inviting Gen Z and millennials is a great innovation perceiving the large potential of Indonesia’s young generation.
“By the presence of young generation in this expo, I am optimistic that Indonesia will be more advance,” conveyed Jokowi.
In addition to involving young generation, Jokowi stated that ASEPHI and the promotor Mediatama managed to improve the organizing of Inacraft on October.
“I see that today’s Inacraft is slightly different, the expo shows different ambience and look. The activities and products that are exhibited also looks better. But the most importantly is the great number of participants, there are 772 booths here,” voiced Jokowi.
Perceiving the enthusiasm of craft producers in this expo, Jokowi expects Inacraft on October 2023 can attract more visitors and enhance the transaction value in order to assist the exhibitors – mostly MSMEs – in escalating their revenue.
The Chairman of ASEPHI, Muchsin Ridjan, stated, “I would like to thank our President and Ministers who always guiding us. Inacraft strives to go beyond by involving young generation, this is only the beginning”. Muchsin Ridjan also hopes the authority continues to support ASEPHI to revive national craft industry and MSMEs.
For information, Inacraft on October 2023 is held for five days, starting from 4th to 8th October 2023 at JCC, Jakarta. The largest Southeast Asia craft expo is hosted by ASEPHI and Mediatama Event, aiming to promote the national craft industry. Showcasing fresh concept, Inacraft on October presents Craft Talk, Craft Workshop, Youth Corner, Fashion Show, and art performance to attract millennials artisan and youthpreneur to promote the national craft industry. This event targets to attract over 100,000 visitors and generates US$1 million transaction.
