Heaptalk, Jakarta — The 2023 Jakarta Fashion Week will return on October 24th to 30th, 2022, at City Hall, Level 5, Pondok Indah Mall 3, South Jakarta. The event promoter will adopt a Fashion Reformation as the primary theme, expecting the local brand to create a breakthrough from participating fashion actors to deliver their product worldwide.
The committee of JFW 2023 has confirmed to present 34 shows from 116 national and international fashion brands and designers to showcase over 1,600 of the newest collections.
“JFW 2023 has long been known as the melting pot for fashion creations from multiple countries. Our stages are greatly open to local and international talented designers, including from Australia and South Korea, to further amplify the long-standing Jakarta Fashion Week as the most significant fashion event in Southeast Asia,” said the Chairwoman of Jakarta fashion Week and CEO of GCM Group, Svida Alisjahbana, during the press conference.
The designer line-up from notable local and international brands curated strictly will enliven the runway, including Obin, Harry Halim, Jeffry Tan, Wilsen Willim, Benang Jarum, Nada Puspita, Ngali by Denni Fransisco from Australia, St.Ego and Doucan from South Korea. Furthermore, the talented fashion designers of the Indonesian Fashion Designer Association members (IPMI), covering Ivan Gunawan, Didi Budiarjom Era Soekamto, Eridani, and Liliana Lim, will also exhibit their fantastic outcomes in this leading fashion event in Indonesia.
After two years of being organized with numerous pandemic restrictions, Jakarta Fashion Week 2022 will be implemented offline for an entire week. Nevertheless, the organizer will still broadcast the online live-stream shows through multiple platforms spanning the JFW.TV, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Vidio.com, and MAXstream to facilitate the audience.
Presenting a Dewi Fashion Knights segment
As the peak segment in the JFW 2023 event, Dewi Fashion Knights will feature Indonesia’s best fashion designers with their concept that corresponds with the theme of JFW 2023. The presence of this plan will employ two fashion categories, namely High End Ready to Wear and the Couture category.
The High End Ready to Wear fashion category will employ the theme of Fashion Mutation carried out through the sophisticated creations from Peggy Hartanto, Sean Sheila, Aidan, and Ice. Meanwhile, the Couture category will be showcased on the closing night with the theme of Future Couture to demonstrate the most outstanding collections from Rinaldy Yunardi, Yogie Pratama, and Stella Rissa.
Expanding the JFW 2023 show in the Metaverse platform
Supported by PT WIR Asia (WIR Group), the JFW 2023 program strives to be relevant with technological advancement, specifically in this metaverse era. As an experienced company in the Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) industry, WIR Group company will create the Nusameta platform – Indonesia’s metaverse ecosystem, to enable a digital experience of this fashion shows devoted to the audience and accessible to 1,000 audiences. As part of a new explorative effort, WIR Group will present around 21 experienced designers in the Metaverse.
