Heaptalk, Jakarta — A multinational cybersecurity software company, Trend Micro, announced the launch of Trend Micro One, a unified cybersecurity and attack surface management platform. The launch of this platform is a measure towards consolidating multiple security products and features in one platform, enabling customers to better understand, communicate and, mitigate cyber risks.
As Indonesia’s economy accelerates its digitalization efforts, the security stakes for businesses are rising. According to Trend Micro’s new global study, 83% of respondents in Indonesia said that their attack surface is complex but controlled. However, the majority of respondents (85%) are worried about their growing attack surface, with 25% of respondents further arguing that the digital attack surface is spiraling out of control.
The findings show organizations in Indonesia are struggling to control cyber risks against the increasing digital attack surface. Moreover, visibility challenges appear to be the main reason organizations are struggling to manage and understand cyber risk in these environments. More than half (53%) said they have blind spots that hamper their security. On average, just 62% of respondents say that they have visibility on their attack surface.
In response to the challenges, Trend Micro offers a unified security platform that enables organizations to prepare for, withstand, and rapidly recover from threats. The cloud-based platform delivers a continuous lifecycle of complete risk and threat assessment with attack discovery, cyber risk analysis, and threat mitigation and response. Trend Micro One also provides services including the managed extended detection & response (XDR) that allow organizations to have better visibility, 24×7 monitoring, and enhanced threat detection and response.
Trend Micro One collects over 250 billion data signals across diverse cloud and hybrid cloud environments, using native sensors across a growing list of ecosystem technology partners. Inaugural partners include Bit Discovery, Microsoft, Okta, Palo Alto Networks, ServiceNow, Slack, Qualys, Rapid7, Splunk, and Tenable.
Country Manager of Trend Micro Indonesia Laksana Budiwiyono delivered, “Trend Micro’s platform is the product of 30 years of experience and innovation in cybersecurity. We have been committed to delivering innovative platforms that augment security teams. That is what we seek to achieve with Trend Micro One, a platform developed by cybersecurity professionals for cybersecurity professionals. Thus, organizations can be most resilient.”
Further, Laksana said that business leaders in Indonesia can focus on driving their business forward without worrying about security as the platform will provide technology to discover ever-changing attack surfaces, assess, and prioritize the most pressing risks and vulnerabilities and subsequently mitigate them.
A partner of Trend Micro, Mitra Integrasi Informatika (MII), welcomes the launch of the Trend Micro One platform. Director of MII Herryanti Herman said, “Trend Micro’s unified approach is industry-first. We are excited to be part of their journey to help organizations in Indonesia rein in and navigate complex risks that come with digital transformation.” Herryanti conveyed that Trend Micro Vision One SOC-as-a-service inside the Trend Micro One platform can help MII support overloaded security teams to prioritize, manage, and respond to threats.
In the closing statement, Laksana delivered that the ecosystem partners will extend the platform by pulling data signals across endpoints, cloud services, IoT devices, and email. In the end, the efforts will help to deliver insights and assessments of cyber dangers to the customers.
