Strengthening the people’s economy is the target of the East Kutai development plan until 2024. The regency government organizes activities involving people’s economic actors.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Regency Government held a development planning meeting (Musrenbang) for the preparation of the regional development work plan (RKPD) 2024 which took place in the Akasia Room, Multipurpose Building, in the East Kutai Regency Government office area, Bukit Pelangi Sangatta.
Inaugurating the meeting, Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman emphasized this deliberation should produce a development plan that can be put into action. He said, “Over time, we have to race against multiple existing references and it really racks our brains. For that, we must make this Musrenbang can be applied. Thus, this activity will not be solely a lip service which several village heads said is of no use. However, I have already clarified it.”
Ardiansyah said that the deliberation process was carried out in stages and was holistic, thematic, integrative, and spatial. Activities have started at the village, sub-district, and regency levels.
“We know that all of this refers to the 2021-2022 regional medium-term development plan (RPJMD), whose thematic is clear every year until 2024, namely strengthening the people’s economy,” he said. Therefore, Ardiansyah underlined that East Kutai needs strength and enthusiasm to make this theme a target for future development.
In addition, currently, the Government of East Kutai Regency is intensively encouraging people’s economic actors to be involved in many events. For example, the Cooperative Department has held bazaar activities in all sub-districts which started some time ago and will end in October 2023.
“Not without a clear reason as of the President’s instructions to prioritize the people’s economy, by giving space and time to them. This was also his message at the regional leader coordinating forum (Forkopimda) meeting in Indonesia some time ago in Sentul,” concluded Ardiansyah.
