The MSME promotion bazaar in Bengalon, East Kutai, is participated by 25 entrepreneurs who offer a variety of products, spanning fashion, crafts, and food.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Cooperatives, SMEs, and Creative Economy Department in collaboration with the Bengalon Sub-district Government organized an MSME promotion bazaar which took place next to the Bengalon Sub-District Office.

The bazaar is participated by 25 MSME entrepreneurs who offer a variety of products, spanning fashion, crafts, and food. The event which lasted for five days records a total transaction value of Rp95 million or worth US$6,343 (US$1 equals Rp14,975).

East Kutai Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman expressed his gratitude for this achievement. Although it only lasted five days, this activity can bring a positive impact on the wheels of the economy, particularly for the people in Bengalon Sub-district.

“Earlier I received a report from the sub-district head, this kind of activity will be held here again. Go ahead, involve the company to support this program,” said Ardiansyah while attending the closing of the MSME promotion bazaar in Bengalon.

Not only that, Ardiansyah is optimistic that the Indonesian economy will survive amid the inflationary shock that is currently hitting multiple countries in the world. Currently, the central and regional governments are continuing to stabilize the economy, and one of the efforts is through activities involving MSME actors.

Ardiansyah added, “Thank God, in our society, there is no pending money, as the government continues to open up opportunities, getting people to spend their money, one of which is through this kind of activity.”

According to the Head of the Department of Cooperatives, SMEs, and Creative Economy, Darsafani, the Sangatta Central Market is the destination for the next MSME promotion bazaar, which will be held until Idul Fitri.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the bazaar committee, Leon, said this event is a series of roadshows targeting 18 points in 18 sub-districts which will end in October 2023. “Although it only lasted five days, each stand is able to record an average transaction of Rp700,000 to Rp1 million per day. Seeing the enthusiasm of the people here, we will again hold a similar event in a different place,” concluded Leon.
