Heaptalk, Jakarta — MRT Jakarta has collaborated with Bank DKI to introduce a new cashless payment system called MartiPay (09/06). This new payment option is embedded in the MyMRTJ app.
MartiPay offers several features, including balance top-up, QRIS and QR ticket payments, and transaction history checks. Through the QRIS payment feature, customers can pay at various outlets or merchants within MRT Jakarta stations.
“This synergy with Bank DKI addresses the need for a payment system and tool for purchasing MRT Jakarta travel tickets that minimizes infrastructure maintenance and the need for physical cards,” said Farchad Mahfud, Director of Business Development at MRT Jakarta, during the Hub Space 2024 event at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta (09/06).
Farchad further added that through MartiPay, the public gains convenient access to a single platform/application for multiple funding sources when making transactions at stations, as its features meet public needs such as balance top-ups, QR code ticket payments, QRIS transaction payments, and transaction history tracking.
Meanwhile, Agus H. Widodo, President Director of Bank DKI, stated that the bank’s support for the MartiPay app aligns with the company’s vision of contributing to developing more modern and inclusive digital banking services. Agus said, “The partnership with MRT Jakarta is a strategy to strengthen the digital payment ecosystem while providing added convenience and security for public transportation users.”
MartiPay is expected to encourage the public to adopt digital payments and support the government’s National Non-Cash Movement. With this platform, MRT Jakarta offers ease of use for its passengers and contributes to increased efficiency and security in transactions. The MyMRTJ app is available for download on both Android and iOS smartphones.
