Heaptalk, Jakarta — Oppo Indonesia officially launched the latest Oppo A77s device which is equipped with improvements to photography, entertainment, and operating system features (13/10). According to PR Manager Oppo Indonesia Aryo Meidianto, designs and features that were previously only available in the Reno series line, are now also available in the A series line.

Aryo delivered, “Oppo A77s is one of our breakthrough devices equipped with high-end technology on a mid-range smartphone. In addition, we are also introducing the latest Oppo Band 2 Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem to answer the needs of young people who want a smart band with a large screen and equipped with smarter features,” said Aryo.

A77s is available in two new colors, namely sunset orange and starry black. The sunset orange variant has the first fiberglass leather design in the industry, while the starry black is designed with Oppo Glow. The ultra-slim retro design features a thickness of 7.99 mm and a weight of 187 grams, providing a slim and comfortable appearance to hold and use in any condition.

Aryo conveyed that each A77s device has passed more than 130 reliability tests and more than 320 comprehensive quality tests. These test results prove the A77s resistant to water splashes, scratches, as well as wear and tear which is suitable for long-term use.

Oppo A77s offers charging protections

With 33W Supervooc charging, the Oppo A77s battery can be charged to 100% in just 71 minutes, while a 5-minute charge is adequate to make a phone call for 2.98 hours. When fully charged, the 5,000mAh battery can last more than 14 days or 17 hours if it is used to watch YouTube videos continuously.

Charging protections including overvoltage and overcurrent protection technology will ensure that the A77s battery is always charged safely. Optimized night charging feature which is based on artificial intelligence (AI) will learn the user’s sleep habits and create a customized charging schedule to prevent overcharging. Hence, users can feel safe while charging all night long.

A77s device is equipped with a 50MP AI dual camera and new features one of which is a bokeh flare portrait to produce portrait photos with a bokeh light spot effect like a professional camera. Meanwhile, another feature of the Reno8 series line, namely the selfie HDR, will provide clear selfie photos in dark conditions or when in strong backlight.

Dual ultra linear stereo speakers equipped with Dirac 3.0 will deliver high-quality stereo audio with enhanced volume features. The colorful 6.56-inch screen with a high refresh rate of 90Hz brings a smooth and comfortable display to enjoy high-quality video content and games.

The Snapdragon 680 4G processor delivers a 102% increase in CPU performance and a 76% increase in GPU performance over the previous generation. The 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM configuration brings more storage and a smoother everyday user experience, added with RAM expansion of up to 8GB. Later 8GB RAM expansion will be available through software upgrades. The device also supports microSD card expansion up to 1TB.

This device comes in ColorOS 12.1 with enhanced data and information privacy security, including photo data privacy and a privacy dashboard to ensure users’ sensitive information is not used improperly. FlexDrop feature allows users to open additional applications in small windows, making multitasking more effective when switching between applications. Another feature of three-finger translation linked with Google Lens can quickly translate text in more than 100 languages in the selected screenshot area.

A77s is priced at Rp3,499,000 which can be ordered by pre-order from October 17—26, 2022 through e-commerce in Indonesia, MyOppo, the Oppo store network, and Oppo’s official retail partners throughout Indonesia.

Oppo Band 2

Oppo also introduced the Oppo Band 2 which comes with a 1.57-inch AMOLED screen to deliver more comfortable and easier user interaction. The screen brightness can reach up to 500 nits for a clearer view in sunlight. The strap which is made from silicone and a plastic clasp presents two color variants, blue and black.

Band 2 supports over hundred training modes and several improved running features. Health features including a heart rate sensor, blood oxygen monitoring, and sleep quality monitoring will help users to live a healthier lifestyle. The device is also equipped with magnetic fast charging capable of 5 minutes of charging for a full day of use. The 200mAh battery can last up to 14 days.
