Heaptalk, Jakarta — Glance InMobi Pte Ltd. (Glance), Singapore’s consumer internet company, has acquired Gambit Sports Pvt Ltd. (Gambit), a gaming company in India. This action is claimed will allow the Company to create the biggest platform that provides an NFT-based playing game experience dedicated to Gen-Z globally.
The acquires integrates Glance’s abilities and lock screen-centric innovation with Gambit’s expertise of the gaming ecosystem. Glance will utilize Gambit proficiency to establish an interactive live gaming experience, including tournament, game show, game streaming, and game multiplayer on the lock screen. This India’s gaming company allows Glance to set up several casual games and mid-core to be enjoyed by diverse gamer classes.
Established in 2015 with Yashashvi Takallapalli, Gaurav Konar, Ranaveer Sankieneni, and Deepak Venkatramani, Gambit has an experienced team to develop platforms with high interaction and monetization. Also, this India-based gaming company operates NostraGamus (Nostra Pro), a popular gaming platform with fantasy sports, poker, rummy, quizzes, and hyper-casual games. More than 100 million games have been played on the NostraGamus platform and nearly 10 million registered users.
Co-Founder of InMobi and seat as COO of Glance, Piyush Shah, revealed that Gen-Z had spent more time playing games than other online activities due to gaming as the most interactive content category worldwide. He also added, “Interactive gaming experiences connected on the lock screen are essential to Glance’s vision to build the world’s largest live internet platform. We will also launch NFT that collaborates with content creators to live gaming that generates numerous possibilities for play-to-earn and play-to-own for the whole gaming ecosystem,”
Gambit’s Co-Founder and CEO, Yashashvi Takallapalli, stated that Gambit’s team had perceived enormous traction for live gaming on the Glance platform, which successfully reached more than 10 million users watching live games on this consumer internet platform every week. With the combined strengths of these two companies, Takallapalli estimates the number of monthly active gamers at Glance Games to double next year due to plenty of opportunities for people.
This Singapore-based company also intends to establish NFT in live gaming, enabling creators, streamers, and developers to monetize through assets and NFT-based game creation while providing a unique experience for gamers.
Previously, Glance has obtained an investment of USD 200 million from Jio Platforms to expedite its business expansion globally in February 2022. This technology company also cooperates with Jio, where Glance’s lock screen will be integrated into JioPhone Next. This integration is expected to enlarge Glance Games’ scope.
