Heaptalk, Jakarta — An integrated platform for content creators in Southeast Asia, TipTip, has inaugurated its presence at the Grand Launch event in Sheraton Grand Hotel, Jakarta (7/13). The launch of this platform aims to build an ecosystem for Indonesian creators to share their creative ideas effortlessly and boost Indonesia’s creative economy.
This digital content platform will provide innovative solutions to fill the gaps regarding the features devoted to content creators in developing countries across Southeast Asia, including content monetization opportunities, transparency of local payment, Know-Your-Customer (KYC) integration, and convenience of distributing their contents.
The Founder and CEO of TipTip, Albert Lucius, claimed that Indonesia contains many talented creators to generate quality works. By launching this platform, Albert intends to unlock monetization opportunities for creators in Indonesia without the prerequisite of an extensive audience reach. He also revealed this platform implements two ways of interaction to assist the creator in creating an engagement with their audiences instantly.
Apart from the simplicity of building direct communication, the company possesses a particular team to ensure the content quality produced by the creators aligns with the existing regulations. This platform also contains a Manage Creators system to differentiate a professional’s content from a general society’s content.
“Our platform serves as a new, unique channel to connect the creators with their audiences without concerning their content algorithm to gain a huge reach. Through this platform, we also expect the TipTip platform will contribute to the rapid progress for the creator’s economy in Indonesia,” Albert said during the Grand Launch occasion (7/13).
Refers to the Opus Creative Economy Outlook 2020 report, the creative economy industry has contributed US$73 million to Indonesia’s GDP and absorbs around 17 million workforces. Perceiving this significant growth, the company estimates the creative content industry will experience immense improvement to reach US$466 million for Indonesia’s creative economy in the coming years.
Responding to this estimation, the President Commissioner of TipTip, Triawan Munaf, shares his strong optimism as this one-stop content platform will contribute to Indonesia’s creative sector enhancement. He also stated that his party would continue to encourage and appreciate the creator’s works to reach a better creative economy in Indonesia.
“We observe the society has faced the dilemma of how to monetize their ideas. By presenting this digital content platform, we hope TipTip can provide access for society to deliver their ideas digitally. We also believe the existence of TipTip will boost creators’ income in Indonesia,” added Triawan.
Attending the launch session, East Ventures‘s Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Wilson Cuaca, claimed the pandemic crisis had transformed society’s behavior into a digital ecosystem. The appearance of numerous creative content has allowed talented people to feel facilitated in spreading their creative works.
“As a venture capital firm in Indonesia, we have invested in multiple startups; one of which is TipTip. We perceive that this platform has a goal to create a creator economy ecosystem that has been localized. With its presence in Indonesia, this creative content platform is expected to carry out a flywheel effect for creators in Indonesia,” Wilson in his statement.
