Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs Community (KPMI) announces a collaboration with PT Lima Event Indonesia to carry out a halal product business and sharia industry exhibition, the Indonesia Muslim Lifestyle Festival (Muslim Life Fest), on 26—28 August 2022 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition BSD (ICE BSD), Tangerang, Banten (11/08). After two years of absence due to the covid-19 pandemic, the organizers are proud to host the exhibition again.

Delivering the theme of #salingdukung, Muslim Life Fest is going to be participated by 298 exhibitors of 12 categories coming from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, and other areas.

Hundreds of tenants will be ready to present various halal and Islamic products, such as modest fashion, Islamic education, hobbies and communities, Islamic books and publisher, halal travel, Thibbun Nabawi herbal, beauty and pharmaceutical, as well as Safe and Healthy Halal Culinary Zone (KHAS), in an area of 10,000 m2.

Unlike the previous event, Muslim Life Fest 2022 will also present Muslim Life Trade which provides an exclusive zone for the export of halal products to several countries. The Chairman of KPMI, Rachmat Marpaung, stated there will be 650 buyers from various countries such as Bahrain, Pakistan, Japan, and Malaysia who are ready to collaborate with business players for halal products at the Muslim Life Fest.

“They are enthusiastic about Indonesian agricultural products, such as coffee, pepper, cloves, and other agricultural products. Since we’re still in a pandemic atmosphere, business matchmaking becomes more dynamic, hence it can be done both online and offline. We continue to collect data needed by buyers and the readiness of our producers to fulfill the needs of buyers,” said Rachmat during the press conference (11/08).

During the first two days of the event, Muslim Life Trade is not open to the public. There will be exclusive business matchmaking between sellers and buyers to know each other, network, negotiate and transact. On the third day, the public can visit the exhibition freely.

Rachmat hopes the Muslim Life Trade 2022 can be the pioneer in realizing Indonesia as the largest producer of halal products in the world. Muslim Life Fest and Muslim Life Trade received support from various parties, including the National Islamic Finance Committee (KNEKS), the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Bank Indonesia (BI), and the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH). This exhibition is also to welcome the Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) 2022.

Putu Rahwidhiyasa, Business and Sharia Entrepreneurship Director of KNEKS expressed KNEKS’s support for this exhibition. Not only helping to move the wheels of business for the halal industry business actors, Putu said Muslim Life Fest and Muslim Life Trade can also contribute to increasing exports of Indonesian halal products. This effort aligns with  Indonesia’s vision to be a center for halal producers in 2024.

Further, Deputy Director of Sharia Business Acceleration and Partnership of KNEKS, Achmad Iqbal, said Indonesia has great potential to provide halal raw materials. “The Government also has a high commitment and makes every effort to realize Indonesia as a world center for producing halal products. The Muslim Life Fest and Muslim Life Trade are included in efforts to synergize and collaborate between business players and the Government, which must be fully supported,” explained Achmad during the press conference (11/08).

Deddy Andu, the Director of PT Lima Event Indonesia, hoped the exhibition can stimulate the people’s economy as well as invite participants to revive, work, produce, and pray again offline through exhibition activities. Andu is optimistic the Muslim Life Fest 2022 can attract the attention of 40,000 visitors.

The entry ticket for the Muslim Life Fest 2022 can now be ordered via  Muslim Life Shop.

Prospective buyers who are interested in joining Muslim Life Trade can register on the website of Muslim Life Trade.
