Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s healthcare preventive startup, Fita, recorded positive EBITDA in the early quarter (Q1) this year. The startup’s accomplishment in performance is also demonstrated by the growth of Fita’s revenue of up to 30% in this quarter compared to the former.
Responding to the startup’s outstanding performance, Fita’s Chief Executive Officer, Reynazran Royono, delivered, “Amidst the ongoing post-pandemic and tech winter obstacles, this positive performance is a crucial milestone for us and the startup industry roundly,”
Despite the ever-shifting trends and fierce competition in Indonesia’s health industry, Fita has shown remarkable resilience. By honing in on product-market fit and leveraging strategic backing from Telkomsel, the startup is fortifying its sustainable business model, paving the way for continued profitability.
With the backing of Telkomsel’s INDICO, Fita secured a new investment of US$1.9 million in 2022. These funds are earmarked for the development of user-oriented products and the enhancement of features for professional coaches. Fita was downloaded by over 3 million users in 2024.
Through collaboration with over 200 certified trainers, Fita has provided over 1,000 sports tutorials and 400 healthy food recipes. The startup’s comprehensive health content has profoundly impacted its users, empowering them to achieve an average weight gain of 2.8 kg and an average weight loss of 2.8 kg. This tangible impact underscores Fita’s potential for positive societal change.
Going forward, Fita’s team will continue to maintain its positive performance. Several plans have been set up by the team, such as continuing solid cooperation with Telkomsel and providing a bundling program with Halo+ and ComboFit, where the program combines telecommunications services with health and fitness services.
Additionally, Fita formulates the ComboFit Superpass service to access hundreds of gym partners from around 3,000 identified gym partners in Indonesia. In granting long-term health insurance, this wellness startup also ties with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan regarding the ComboFit Jamsostek program, which will prioritize non-wage earners (BPU) users and non-formal sector workers.
“As part of INDICO, we are determined to explore the health and fitness ecosystem more deeply through collaboration with several parties. The support of Telkomsel’s commercial assets means a lot to us in expanding our reach to more users.” Reynazran concluded.
