Heaptalk, Jakarta — PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) announced to close a total of 3,619 Vehicle Booking Orders (SPK) during the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2022. Perceiving the numbers, HMID claimed that the vehicle booking orders were oversubscribed, even attaining over two times compared to GIIAS 2021.
In more detail, the best-selling product was contributed by Hyundai STARGAZER orders with a total of 1,585 SPK, followed by Hyundai CRETA with 1,191 SPK, and Hyundai IONIQ 5 with a total of 399 SPK. On the other hand, Hyundai won three categories during GIIAS 2022, including Favorite Car: Passenger Car MPV for Hyundai STARGAZER, Favorite Car: Electric Car for Hyundai IONIQ 5, and Favorite Booth which placed over >2,000 sqm.
In addition, Hyundai also broke the Indonesia World Record Museum (MURI) for “the Largest LED Display at an Automotive Show” with its display of artworks that showcase interactive color and meaningful visuals on a 504m² Inspirational Media Wall LED screen.

On the same occasion, Makmur, Chief Operating Officer PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, said, “We are very pleased and appreciate the warm welcome from the Indonesian people towards Hyundai products that we presented throughout GIIAS 2022. This year, Hyundai STARGAZER has become the main star with the Favorite Passenger Car MPV award at GIIAS 2022, moreover STARGAZER also dominated the sales number of Hyundai with 1,585 SPK or around 45% of total bookings during the autoshow. This further proves the extensive trust and interest which the people of Indonesia have given to Hyundai’s products that are made in Indonesia.”
Hyundai’s booth presented 25 car displays, 8 test-drive units of various Hyundai flagship products that visitors can try directly, and 10 exhibition areas with interactive technology nuances that stand in a 2,744 m² booth, consisting of various facilities such as Hyundai Bluelink, Sustainability Area with various eco-friendly activities for visitors, Hyundai Sketch Town Area, Kids Play Area & Nursery Room and Hyundai x BTS Photo Booth, and Sub Soccer Games Area. In addition to the exhibition in Hall 1, Hyundai also presented Hyundai Service Point at Hall 10 parking area.
