Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Branch Management Board (BPC) of the Community Family Association (IKM) Parepare of East Kutai Regency for the 2022-2027 period has been officially inaugurated. The inauguration ceremony was conducted at the Bukit Pelangi multi-purpose building on Saturday (11/05).

This inauguration is based on the Decree of the Parepare IKM Management Board Number 014-A/SKEP/BPP.IKM-PARE/X/2022, signed by the General Chairperson of IKM BPP Parepare Inspector General of Police Mas Guntur Laupe.

In this inauguration, Andi Syahruddin Siddik has been appointed as the Chairman of BPC IKM Parepare for the 2022-2027 period. In addition, Zulfirwan Ramli has been selected as a Secretary, while Hasbudi Jabir will occupy the position of Treasurer. After the inauguration, Andi Syahruddin Siddik affirmed that BPC IKM parties of Parepare at the region fully intend to escalate the East Kutai.

“I suggest the IKM Parepare take a critical role in building East Kutai. Therefore, I look forward to the society in the region can share their consideration with the government to build a robust synergy for the East Kutai advancement,” said Andi.

Meanwhile, in his speech, the Regent of East Kutai, Ardiansyah Sulaiman, conveyed to the guests that this region contains multiple ethnic groups. Further, he claimed that East Kutai has several natural wealth, including the coal, oil, and palm industries. As a further plan, He revealed his party is currently developing the tourism industry. Thus, he encouraged the entire stakeholders to boost the tourism industry in the district.

As delivered by Regent Ardiansyah, the palm oil industry currently occupies the highest position as the foreign exchange source, followed by the tourism industry. He claimed the East Kutai region possessed these factors as this district contains enormous oil palm plantations, becoming the largest in East Kalimantan.

“We have issued a planting license for an area of 800,000 hectares and have planted approximately 500,000 hectares. As it is known, around 30,000 hectares belong to non-governmental organizations. We are proud that palm oil has contributed to the foreign exchange, following the tourism industry,” Ardiansyah said.

Regarding these points, Ardiansyah invited the East Kutai and Parepare communities to enhance the tourism industry. “I invite the people of East Kutai and Parepare to develop the region and realize the mission of Organizing Prosperous East Kutai for All without discriminating against ethnicity and religion,” added Regent Ardiansyah.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of Parepare, Pangeran Rahim, hoped that the residents of Parepare in East Kutai would be helpful internally and beneficial for other organizations, the community, and the environment. He also pursued the entire parties to support the local government development program, particularly in East Kutai.

During the occasion, this inauguration agenda was also concurrently with the symbolic handover of the Regional Government Free BPJS, performed by the East Kutai’s Vice-Regent, Kasmidi Bulang, to representatives of the Parepare residents.
