Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Expo is officially commenced, marked by the cutting ribbons performed by the East Kutai Regent, Ardiansyah Sulaiman, accompanied by Vice-Regent, Kasmidi Bulang (10/11). The local government delivered that the organizing of this expo is part of their exceptional dedication to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of East Kutai.
During the occasion, Regent Ardiansyah conveyed that 23 years old is the productive age, productive to grow. This age is aligned with East Kutai’s condition that strives to build the regency. In 2022, he introduced the identity of East Kutai as the Magic Land, a stunning area with plenty of potentials, particularly for its Natural Resources. Thus, Ardiansyah looks forward to the sub-district heads disseminating the East Kutai capability.
In his further statement, he exemplified several areas with incredible natural wealth, including the Teluk Pandan Sub-district with a large Rendan Lake, beautiful cave, waterfall, rice fields, and Kutai’s National Park. In addition, Ardiansyah also revealed that South Sangatta possesses various natural attractiveness, consisting of White Sand Beach and Teluk Prancis Beach. While from other locations, he looks forward to the community visiting North Sangatta, Kongbeng, Muara Wahau, Busang, Sandaran, and Berau border to experience the natural potential possessed.
“I hope the entire sub-district heads can deliver these potentials through the visual and audio-visual scheme during the exhibition to boost the society acknowledgment in the area regarding the wonderful natural resources owned by East Kutai,” Ardiansyah said.
As a part of the 23rd celebration series, East Kutai’s Vice-Regent affirmed his party had conducted multiple activities, spanning the Regent Cup Fishing Mania, held from September 30th to October 2nd, 2022. Kasmidi stated that the latest Plenary Session was also carried out in the DPRD building, filled with the Regent speech, before inaugurating the East Kutai Expo Fair 2022.
“Furthermore, we have organized the Carnival Cultural on October 9th, 2022. Previously, the regional government has also established traditional competitions in front of the regent’s office,” said Kasmidi.
This expo fair is followed by around 58 Regional Work Units (SKPD), 18 Sub-Districts in East Kutai, 3 Vertical Institutions, 5 Mining Corporations, 38 booths of MSME, and 65 booths of street vendors. The expo also presents several booths of the plantation company and multiple communities. As delivered by Kasmidi, the exhibition will be held from October 10th to 16th, supported by the Event Organizer (EO) service.
After the opening remarks from several parties, The East Kutai Regent, Vice-Regent, and Regional Secretary performed a review visit at each expo booth located in the Graha Expo building. As the supplementary programs to celebrate the region’s anniversary, the regional government will mark this memorable day through the friendly night schedule and the Ikat Weaving launch in the East Kutai’s Regent Office.
