Heaptalk, Jakarta — GudangAda, Indonesia’s B2B e-commerce company, has officially launched the 1 Juta Warung Melek Digital program (02/11). This digital literacy program aims to build digital comprehension and awareness dedicated to 1 million stalls and MSME actors to expand their business and amplify their contribution to Indonesia’s digital economy in the future.
In line with the Indonesian government’s program to digitize local MSMEs by 2024, this e-commerce company launched its latest program by collaborating with the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM). This stage is GudangAda’s long-term strategy to gain digital literacy to 1 million small shop owners and MSME entrepreneurs.
Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, delivered his support in his keynote speech, “DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has made many efforts to accelerate economic revival due to the pandemic, especially for MSME actors. This endeavor is expected to create a positive contribution to economic recovery with the participation and synergy of the private sectors.”
This program will refer to stall owners and MSME entrepreneurs as a primary target. By cooperating with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, this digital literacy activity is dedicated to stalls and MSMEs assisted by the Jakarta PPKUKM Department incorporated of the Jakpreneur community.
“GudangAda recognizes the digital gap has become a primary obstacle for MSME actors to compete with modern retail and transform their business into digital. This program is the company’s long-term commitment to realize the government’s vision of targeting 30 million MSMEs to go digital by 2024,” said Budianto Hariadi, Chief Commercial Officer of GudangAda.
1 Juta Warung Melek Digital program will focus on the Jakarta area as an initial stage and periodically expand to other cities. The members will be provided several digital training materials, namely practical steps and online business strategies, synchronizing offline to online business, and digital marketing strategies through e-commerce and social media.
Furthermore, President Director of PT Tokai Dharma Indonesia, Octavianus Kirana Indra, also supports this digital program, “We espouse these endeavors to continue empowering MSMEs by digitizing businesses. As a producer, Tokai perceives the importance of MSME synergy as the stuff distribution final point,”

This platform’s digital ecosystem will include transaction services, logistics services, store management systems, financial services, and marketing services.
