Heaptalk, Jakarta — Citi Indonesia has awarded Destry Damayanti, Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, the Citi Distinguished Alumni Award 2024 in the Leadership category. This award is part of the Citi Alumni Network 2024, an annual event that serves as a reunion for Citi Indonesia alumni.
The award is given to alumni who have made significant contributions to the country and society. Batara Sianturi, CEO of Citi Indonesia, expressed his appreciation for the dedication of the alumni who continue to play an active role in advancing various sectors in the country. “Citi Alumni Network is a testament that Citi is more than just a bank; it is also a producer of leaders who can create innovations and contribute to the country’s progress, especially in the crucial financial sector for national development,” Batara said in a written statement.
Destry Damayanti is considered to have played a strategic role and contributed to advancing the national financial sector. She began her career at Citi Indonesia in 1997 as an Economist. Due to her experience, Destry has been able to hold various strategic positions, including Senior Economist for the British Ambassador to Indonesia, Chief Economist of Mandiri Sekuritas, Executive Director of Mandiri Institute, and Head of the Economic Task Force at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises.
Known as the university of bankers
She has been serving as the Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia since 2019. She said, “It is an honor to receive the Citi Distinguished Alumni Award. The values I learned at Citi have been an important part of shaping my career journey. I hope this award can inspire all of us to continue contributing to positive changes to support economic progress in Indonesia.”
