Heaptalk, Jakarta — The IKN Authority will establish the Smart City Cooperation Center (SCCC) this year in collaboration with the South Korean government.
According to Mohammed Ali Berawi, Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation at the IKN Authority, the SCCC will be built with funding commitments from South Korea’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) grant.
“The Smart City Cooperation Center will serve as a hub for research, certification, and technological development in partnership with various educational institutions and technology industry companies,” Ali Berawi explained.
Construction of the SCCC is one of the key programs being accelerated this year. The program focuses on strategic coordination for developing the digital ecosystem, utilizing information systems and artificial intelligence, and applying green energy solutions.
“In 2025, the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) at the IKN Authority office will also become operational,” Ali Berawi added.
For context, the ICCC is part of a pilot project grant commitment from the United States.
Furthermore, the development of the IKN Authority’s edge data center is also targeted to begin under an investment cooperation scheme in IKN. To implement these programs, the Green and Digital Transformation Deputy has an indicative budget of Rp18 billion for 2025.
