Heaptalk, Jakarta — Secretary of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN), Bimo Adi Nursanthyasto, announced that the OIKN headquarters is scheduled to open in Nusantara by the end of December 2024.
“Regarding the office, hopefully, we will be there by the end of December,” he stated in a written press release on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
Meanwhile, Acting Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure at OIKN and Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force, Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, reported that the construction progress of the OIKN office building has reached 80%. “The OIKN building also contributes to creating an office ecosystem in IKN,” Danis explained.
Aditya W. Fitrianto, Director of Architecture at Alien DC and responsible for the design and build process of the OIKN office building, echoed this sentiment, stating, “The project is advancing steadily to meet the target completion date.”
Aditya elaborated that the OIKN office is designed to serve as a central hub for administration and services across the entire IKN area. Located at the heart of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP), it is close to the Nusantara Zero Point and aligned along the national axis, facing the Nusantara Palace indirectly.
The building itself is rounded to symbolize a center. It follows the Nagara Rimba Nusa concept, featuring layered facades (second skin), green facades, and green spaces like a green roof and plaza.
Urbane, an architectural consultancy based in Bandung, created the basic design for the office. In addition to the headquarters, several other structures are also targeted for completion, including offices for the Coordinating Ministries, the Presidential Palace, the National Palace, and the Bank Indonesia Office Complex.
