Heaptalk, Jakarta — Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA) Bambang Susantono emphasized that collaboration and synergy between institutions is the key to actualizing a new civilization in Nusantara Capital City (IKN) that will have a positive impact on the country’s advancement. For this reason, the Nusantara Capital Authority held a national working meeting entitled ‘Collaboration between local governments and Nusantara Capital to create a world city for all’ at the Grand Ballroom of the Kempinski Hotel, Jakarta (03/14).
According to Bambang, this activity can arouse the authority’s enthusiasm to make Nusantara Capital City or known as IKN one of the milestones of Golden Indonesia.
“I feel honored and also grateful to be here with stakeholders, colleagues, both from regional governments and ministries and institutions who have the same vision in building Indonesia’s future towards a Golden Indonesia in 2045,” said Bambang at the opening of the National Coordination Meeting in Jakarta (03/14).
On the occasion, Bambang said that building IKN is not solely about building infrastructure and government facility buildings, but also a transformational step to create a new civilization by introducing a new work culture, mindset, and economic base in Indonesia.
Spreading the economic growth
According to Bambang, the development of IKN is also one of the government’s steps to support inclusive economic development by spreading the magnet for new economic growth. Thus, economic growth does not only focus on Java. He voiced, “To make this happen, collaboration and synergy between stakeholders is vital under the spirit of good governance.”
Further, Bambang explained that since its inception, IKN has been designed as a catalyst to unlock Indonesia’s overall economic potential, encourage growth, and create jobs. In this way, poverty rates can be reduced.
“By making IKN a symbol of national identity and a new economic center of gravity, we expect it can create a multiplier effect by distributing the epicenter of growth to areas outside Java. All these efforts aim to support Indonesia-centric development towards a Golden Indonesia in 2045,” concluded Bambang.
