Heaptalk, Jakarta — On Thursday (01/30), the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait inaugurated echelon II, III, and IV officials of the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas at Wisma Atlet Kemayoran in Jakarta.
The inauguration included 31 Primary High Officials, 66 Administrative Officials, and 23 Supervisory Officials. Ara, as he is commonly called, also mentioned that on Monday (01/20), he had inaugurated 8 echelon I officials in the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas before this.
“Today, as the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, I officially inaugurate your new positions within the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas. I trust that you will perform your duties to the best of your abilities and follow the responsibilities. May God Almighty be with us,” he stated during the inauguration ceremony.
Ara also mentioned that President Prabowo Subianto is a pro-people president who provides various conveniences, such as the exemption of Land and Building Acquisition Fees, speeding up the Building Approval process, and waiving its fees, among several other policies that facilitate low-income families’ ownership of homes.
He also stated that the ministry is making multiple efforts to provide three million homes per year, which include constructing two million homes in rural areas and one million apartments in urban areas.
These efforts include using confiscated land from corrupt officials for public housing, supporting the Three Million Homes program through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) schemes, and attracting foreign investments from Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries.
