Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Head of Development of Indonesia’s CoFTRA, Heryono Hadi, announced that SRG-supported exports have surpassed Rp3 trillion. This milestone reflects significant progress from previous years, attributed to a robust ecosystem facilitated by ongoing literacy and awareness measures. This announcement was delivered at the inauguration of the Warehouse Receipt System (SRG) and Commodity Auction Market (PLK) Literacy Month.
Heryono conveyed, “The SRG export figures surged after our literacy campaign successfully fostered a holistic ecosystem. By late 2024, SRG has reached this amount in export achievements,”
He highlighted that seaweed, coffee, and flying fish roe were the primary contributor to this export figure, describing these commodities as uniquely valuable due to their limited global production.
“This accomplishment demonstrates SRG’s role beyond mere storage. It is a strategic tool for stabilizing and supplying domestic and international markets,” Secretary of CoFTRA Olvy Andrianita said.
Furthermore, she underscored three core strengths of SRG in reaching international markets: stringent quality standards, traceable sourcing, and an integrated auction system. She further detailed the breadth of SRG’s impact, noting that 22 commodities are now regulated within the system, supported by 123 warehouses nationwide. Integrating these resources is essential to enabling these commodities to drive national economic progress.
Arif Budiman, Senior Executive Vice President of PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN), also emphasized his commitment to advancing Warehouse Receipt System Exports’ goals in partnership with the government.
“KPBN, as part of the PTPN group, cooperates with state-owned logistics providers, and our storage facilities in DUmai and Belawan directly support SRG operations,” he said.
Budi Susanto, President Director of PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (KBI), echoed these sentiments, expressing the company’s intention to amplify SRG through active promotion and literacy initiatives.
“We aim to encourage more producers to register and utilize SRG’s storage facilities,” he added.
On SRG-PLK integration, he affirmed KBI’s readiness to synchronize data systems, enhance market transparency, and create a supportive business ecosystem. According to Budi, this synergy contributes to more accurate data for governmental policies and bolsters economic resilience across the nation.
