TNI and Polri hold a morning roll call in preparation to welcome President Jokowi in West Kutai

Heaptalk, Jakarta — The National Defense Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri) held a morning roll call to check all personnel readiness in welcoming President Joko Widodo’s visit to West Kutai on November 3. The roll call took place at Itho Sendawar Square, Barong Tongkok District (11/01).

“Preparations for welcoming the President are a manifestation of the hard work of the TNI-Polri and regional governments in ensuring that the President’s visit takes place safely, orderly, and smoothly. All elements of security and public services have been deployed to ensure the success of this visit,” stated the West Kutai Communication and Informatics Department in its official release.

During the working visit, President Joko Widodo is scheduled to carry out a number of activities, including inspections of multiple development projects, meetings with regional policymakers, and interactions with local communities.

Based on the official statement from the Ministry of the State Secretariat, President Joko Widodo will groundbreaking the VVIP airport in Penajam District and groundbreaking the construction of Mayapada Hospital. Further, he is also scheduled to visit the Pakuwon Nusantara Building, Jakarta International School (JIS), Hermina Hospital, Sepaku 020 Public Elementary School, Bank Indonesia, BPJS Building, and hydroelectric power plant.

“In addition, President Jokowi will also inspect the Mentawir Nursery, Construction Worker Housing (HPK), and glamping at IKN,” added the Ministry in its official statement. Next, the President will continue activities in West Kutai Regency by helicopter to inspect the Semoi Dam and Swalas Gunaaq Stadium in Barong Tongkok District. Finally, he will attend the Dahau Festival to commemorate the 24th anniversary of West Kutai.

President Joko Widodo’s presence in West Kutai is expected to bring great benefits to the development and progress of the regency as well as strengthen relations between the central and regional governments. (Translated by Sinta)
