Heaptalk, Jakarta — PT Unicharm Indonesia, together with YKPI, held the Let’s Realize After Menstruation Fun Walk activity, with a walking distance of around 3 km on Sunday (10/01). This event is a part of the company’s Let’s Realize After Menstruation campaign, launched last year.
Breast cancer is one of the severe health problems in Indonesia. Based on the shared vision of contributing to Indonesian women, the Director of PT Uni Charm Indonesia Tbk, Sri Handayani, affirmed that the fun walk event would increase Indonesian women’s awareness of breast cancer health and give them a deep understanding of this disease. For this reason, the company will continue to contribute to liberating women from the various difficulties and limitations they experience.
From the 17 Sustainable Development Goals targets set out, the company continues to strive to contribute to the third target of ensuring a healthy life for all people of all ages and 17 related to strengthening collaboration with various parties to achieve the goals.
According to the company, this endeavor also aligned with one of the company’s slogans related to the Ethical Living for SDGs: company activities that return to society. In the future, the company will continue to strive to solve social and environmental conservation problems and will contribute to the realization of the SDGs
“We are proud to have collaborated with Charm for three years to carry out Pink Ribbon activities. As we know, the possibility that breast cancer can be cured is higher if we detect it early. Through this agenda, we hope this campaign can be more penetrated and become a new behavior,” The FOunder of YKPI, Linda Gum Gumelar, said.
As additional information, around 200 participants participated in this agenda, consisting of 100 breast cancer survivors, YKPI representatives, Unicharm employees, and CFD visitors. Unicharm company and YKPI also opened an educational booth for visitors, which is expected to broaden breast cancer knowledge. Visitors can also listen to explanations about lifestyles that can prevent breast cancer and conditions and symptoms of the disease at the booths provided. (Haris Sunandar)
