Heaptalk, Jakarta — The 25th Salon International de l’Alimentation (SIAL), also known as the Global Food Marketplace, will be held in Jakarta from 13 to 16 November 2024. Taking place at JIExpo Kemayoran, the international expo will present multiple innovations from over 1,200 industry players, including 150 MSMEs.
The exhibitors’ enthusiasm for this international expo is inseparable from the significant growth of Indonesia’s F&B industry. According to Indonesia’s statistics, the growth of the national F&B industry remained strong in Q2 2024, reaching 10.17%. This significant growth further drives the enthusiasm of exhibitors to enliven the organizing of SIAL Interfood 2024.
As the international expo, SIAL Interfood will be participated by multiple exhibitors from 25 countries, spanning Thailand, Indonesia, Iran, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Egypt, South Korea, Turkey, Belarus, Taiwan, Russia, Japan, China, US, Georgia, Oman, UAE, Italy, India, Swiss, and Germany. The expo will be organized in conjunction with Seafood Show Asia Expo 2024, All Indonesia CoolTech Expo 2024, and INAShop Expo 2024 to deliver more excitement to visitors. Presenting thousands of exhibitors, the four-day event is expected to attract 90,000 visitors.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Krista Exhibitions, Daud D. Salim, stated, “This event will be enlivened by the collaboration between cross-ministries, organizations, and associations to present marvelous experiences to visitors. Food experts, chefs, and F&B practitioners from Indonesia and abroad will gather to share knowledge, open new opportunities, and drive F&B industry in Indonesia”.
Daud conveyed that SIAL Interfood also presents awards, named SIAL Innovation for industry players in F&B sector and the supporting sectors. This program will not only deliver appreciation for industry players who continue to create innovation, but also provide them an exposure to the entire SIAL network.
In addition to organizing the exhibition, SIAL Interfood 2024 in Indonesia also features various enticing programs, such as Roasting Competition by SIROC, Workshop Gelato by Espresso Italy, Business Matching, Indonesia Coffee Art Battle, and seminar ICAB with the theme ‘Mixology and Manual Brew Open Service’. The international expo also presents a cooking competition La Cuisine which will be participated by 1,000 participants from multiple countries to showcase culinary innovation.
Meanwhile, the event will present talk shows with the theme Tea for All Generations with Indonesian Tea Association (ATI) and “Seize International Market Opportunities with ASTRULI. Focus Group Discussion with ASTRULI, which adopts the theme Policy Support and Facilitation of the Down-Streaming of Indonesian Seaweed, will be held. A conference that discusses food security in Indonesia through economic growth and modern retail will be hosted by APRINDO. ARPI will also share their insight concerning Modern Cold Chain Warehouse.
