Heaptalk, Jakarta — In collaboration with Google Indonesia, Telkom Indonesia organized the Google Career Certificate (GCC) Batch 1 2024. This program is part of their joint efforts to empower digital talent in the rapidly growing digital transformation era.

The Google Career Certificate is one of the collaborative programs between Telkom and Google, aligned with one of the pillars of the Strategic Partnership Plan, namely Pillar IV—Upskill Employees’ Digital Capabilities and Accelerate the Development of Indonesia’s Digital Talents. Over several months, 2,307 digital talents successfully graduated, or about 63.26% of the participants.

Launched in 2023, the program initially offered only five specializations, but by 2024, it has expanded to nine specializations to meet the needs of the digital transformation era. The specializations offered include Data Analytics, Project Management, IT Support, UX Design, Advanced Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing & E-Commerce, and IT Automation.

Boosting self-development

“It is a source of pride for Google Indonesia to be part of Telkom‘s digital transformation journey, and since the beginning of our partnership at the end of 2022, we have been fully committed to enhancing the digital capabilities of Telkom’s human resources, which is also a tangible contribution to accelerating the development of digital talent in Indonesia,” stated Putri Alam, Director of Government Affairs & Public Policy at Google Indonesia.

According to M. Subhan Iswahyudi, SGM Telkom Corporate University, this program aims to improve technical skills and directly impact participants’ business and career development. Subhan hoped that participants would use the knowledge gained to contribute more significantly to Telkom’s digital ecosystem and the industry.

The activities in GCC Batch 1 included intensive learning sessions with various challenges designed to encourage the participants’ self-development. One of the program’s highlights was awarding participants the Video Growth Journey Challenge. This challenge encouraged participants to share their learning journey throughout the program, inspiring others to remain committed to self-development training. Additionally, awards were given to 45 Top Learners who demonstrated outstanding performance during the program.
