Heaptalk, Jakarta, August 27, 2025 – At the ITSEC Cybersecurity Summit 2025, ITSEC Asia, Indonesia’s leading cybersecurity firm, and Qrypt, a U.S.-based pioneer in quantum cryptography solutions, formalized a strategic collaboration to accelerate the nation’s readiness for the quantum computing era. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Patrick Dannacher, President Director of ITSEC Asia, and Kevin Chalker, CEO & Founder of Qrypt.
Quantum computing is set to revolutionize industries with its ability to solve complex problems exponentially faster than classical systems, driving advances in artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, and materials science. However, the same capabilities pose a critical threat to conventional encryption standards such as RSA and ECC, which secure global banking, healthcare, government, and industrial networks.
To address these vulnerabilities, post-quantum cryptography (PQC) is emerging as the next-generation standard for digital security. Qrypt’s portfolio — including Quantum Entropy Appliances, Quantum Entropy-as-a-Service, and Digital Quantum Key Distribution (DQKD) — enables organizations to implement quantum-resilient security architectures that safeguard sensitive data and critical infrastructure.
Through this collaboration, ITSEC Asia and Qrypt will focus on three strategic pillars:
-
Applied Research & Proof of Concept (PoC): Collaborating with global partners and academic institutions to validate PQC integration in real-world environments, including financial transactions, secure communications, and high-value data storage.
-
Skills Development & Capacity Building: Expanding ITSEC Cyber Academy programs to provide hands-on training for Indonesian cybersecurity professionals, ensuring they are equipped to deploy and manage quantum-safe systems.
-
Awareness & Advocacy: Elevating the discourse on quantum security through thought leadership, industry forums, and specialized tracks at the ITSEC Cybersecurity Summit.
“Quantum computing represents one of the most profound technological shifts of our generation. While it opens doors to innovation, it also demands a fundamental rethinking of how we secure our digital ecosystems. This partnership with Qrypt positions Indonesia at the forefront of adopting quantum-safe practices,” said Patrick Dannacher, President Director of ITSEC Asia.
“By aligning Qrypt’s quantum cryptography expertise with ITSEC Asia’s regional leadership, we are enabling a proactive defense against quantum-enabled cyber threats — ensuring that critical infrastructure and sensitive systems remain secure well into the future,” added Kevin Chalker, CEO & Founder of Qrypt.
This collaboration underscores ITSEC Asia’s commitment to bolstering Indonesia’s national cybersecurity resilience, ensuring that enterprises, government agencies, and citizens are prepared for the opportunities and challenges of a quantum-powered digital landscape.
