Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s Muslim LifeFair (MLF) is poised to return for three-day implementation from December 27th to 29th, 2024, at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
“Muslim LifeFair December 2024 edition carries the theme #MuslimChildren’sFestival. This is our effort to create a recommended year-end holiday destination for children and their families,” stated Deddy Andu, CEO of PT Lima Event Indonesia, ahead of Thursday’s Muslim LifeFair event in Jakarta.
He explained that this edition will focus on providing entertainment for Muslim children while offering parents educational insights from experts about child health and development. The goal is to strengthen the Islamic foundation within families. Attendees can also shop for various halal products at affordable prices.
Several experts will provide family education, including Dr. Arifianto, Sp. A(K) will discuss children’s development; Elly Risman, a psychologist specializing in child-rearing; and psychologist Nicky Maulani, who will talk about improving relationships with children through open communication.
“There will be various fun and educational activities, along with beneficial programs for children and enjoyable experiences for parents and other family members,” Deddy Andu added.
Programs at Muslim LifeFair #MuslimChildren’sFestival include children’s study sessions, such as Sirah Nabawiyah (the life history of Prophet Muhammad) presented by motivators Muslim and Agung Tyo; Quran memorization (tahfizh) and recitation improvement (tahsin) programs; mini workshops; and various competitions like storytelling, Quran verse connections, and calligraphy.
“Muslim holidays have arrived. Muslim children are excited to fill their holidays with meaningful, happy, and beneficial family activities. Free time during these holidays should be used as best as possible to be valuable worship and useful for the family. At the Muslim Children’s Festival, they can play with their peers in the playground area, participate in special children’s study sessions with Kak Muslim, and join exciting competitions. With their parents, these holidays become meaningful and happy,” Muslim explained.
Family holidays at Muslim LifeFair will be even more exciting with the availability of a “Kids Corner” and an area where visitors of all ages can play traditional Indonesian games that are now rarely seen in society. The December 2024 MLF event visitors can also benefit from health service vans and free dental check-ups. Furthermore, those wishing to assist their brothers and sisters in Palestine who are still struggling to survive under Israeli occupation can donate through the ZIS (zakat, infaq, and sedekah) Indosat.
As an Islamic industry exhibition with a bazaar concept, the year-end 2024 Mufair will feature numerous halal product brands, including Muslim and Muslimah fashion, health and beauty products, baby and child products, books, sharia property, education services, Hajj and Umrah travel services, Islamic financial services, food and beverages, and hobby and community support products.
With the diverse programs at this year-end Mufair edition, PT Lima Event’s Deputy General Manager, Fachrul Azmi, emphasized that the event aims to provide broad benefits to the community.
“We want to ensure that Muslim Life Fair is not just a commercial event but also offers real benefits to the community,” he said, adding that Mufair will invite orphans and underprivileged children to visit the event and open donations to support their needs.
Fachrul ensured that Muslim LifeFair was disability-friendly, with ramps and special toilets. Additionally, numerous nursery rooms and dedicated baby playgrounds were available to make the event more comfortable and enjoyable. The event is expected to attract about 20,000 visitors over the three-day event.
“We are presenting approximately 250 exhibition booths, and so far, 180 brands have confirmed participation in Muslim LifeFair,” he stated.
