Heaptalk, Jakarta — To empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs), J&T Express hosted the J&T Connect Preneur Summit, attended by 500 SMEs at Swissotel PIK Avenue, North Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/03).
“As a logistics company growing alongside marketplace partners and SMEs, J&T Express recognizes the need to support SMEs in achieving competitive competence and product quality, enabling them to thrive in today’s business landscape,” said Iwan Senjaya, Key Account Manager of J&T Express, during the event’s opening remarks.
Arief Muhammad, the face of the #JadiBisa campaign, emphasized, “SMEs need continuous learning, which should be facilitated by parties with the capacity and commitment to supporting SMEs. Events like the J&T Connect Preneur Summit help entrepreneurs stay aligned with current business trends and provide a platform for discussion with experts.”
The J&T Connect Preneur Summit marked J&T Express’s first and largest business conference. Supported by the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, the summit featured 14 government and industry expert speakers. The event was divided into five-panel discussion sessions and three workshops, covering topics such as social commerce trends, challenges faced by SMEs over the past decade, financial strategies, and building sustainable businesses.
“Beyond gaining relevant business insights, I need to establish connections to benefit future business growth as an SME owner. This event provides an opportunity to expand those connections with fellow business owners and companies that can support SME development,” said M. Thobroni Ali, founder of Bromen, one of J&T Express’s seller partners.
Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, in his online address, praised the J&T Connect Preneur Summit as a collaborative platform to empower SMEs. He also highlighted that the summit aligns with the Ministry of Trade’s three main programs: protecting the domestic market, expanding export markets, and enabling SMEs to export their products.
