Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s technology expo, Indocomtech 2024, officially opened on October 30, 2024, at ICE BSD, Tangerang. This exhibition aims to foster a sustainable digital economy ecosystem and create new job opportunities as Indonesia embraces rapid digital advancements, including the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
According to Marsudi Wahyu Kusworo, Indocomtech’s steering committee member, the expo is a cross-sector cooperation platform to promote responsible AI adoption in the archipelago.
“Indocomtech is one of the key strategies to build a sustainable AI ecosystem in the archipelago, encouraging AI that benefits society responsibly,” he added.
Organized by Yayasan Apkomindo Indonesia (YAI) and PT Satu Tujuan Event (Satue Event), this year’s expo introduces a fresh concept with two specialized stages, covering Technoforia Stage, focused on business-to-customer (B2C) experiences, and Hi Al! Stage, tailored for business-to-business (B2B) interactions.
“The B2B segment, named the Indonesia Technology Transformation (ITT) program, is designed to spark technological transformation, positioning the event as a prime platform for technology stakeholders to unlock new business opportunities,” said President Director of Satue Event, Bambang Setiawan.
With an expected attendance of over 50,000 visitors, Indocomtech 2024 has garnered support from various institutions, including the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), and Associations such as the Indonesian Telematics Society (Mastel) and the Indonesian Software and Telematics Association (Aspiluki). The event is backed by the Indonesian Cloud Hosting Association (ACHI) and communities of tech enthusiasts, e-sport athletes, and cosplayers from Greater Jakarta.
The National Informatics Olympiad (OTN), organized by the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI), will feature 11 competition categories, including Speed Typing, Web Design, Short Film, Informatics Quiz Bowl, Blog Writing, E-Sports, Photography, Digital Drawing, Canva Presentation, Game Development, and Robotics. This event invites nationwide participation from elementary, middle, and high school students.
Visitors can visit the expo by purchasing a ticket at Rp25,000 on weekdays and Rp35,000 on weekends. On-site tickets are also available, costing Rp35,000 on weekdays and Rp50,000 on weekends.
