IIETE 2024 to present multiple well-known universities

Heaptalk, Jakarta – Wahyu Promo Citra (WPCitra) will once again hold an international education educational exhibition, Indonesia International Education Training Expo & Conference (IIETE) in Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC) on 22-25 February 2024.

Carrying the theme of Never Stop Learning, this exhibition aims to give information for future college students specifically High School/Vocational/MA students concerning college, starting from Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral, professional level education programs, parallel classes, international classes, training programs, service programs both domestically and abroad

IIETE is the longest running higher education exhibition in Indonesia. This year will mark the 32th time for the event being held, after getting postponed once back in 2021 due to the pandemic.

Placed in an area of 6,000 m2 in hall B, IIETE 2024 presenting for almost 120 exhibitors from the most demanded public and private universities from Indonesia and abroad, course institutions, digital education, industries puts its focus on education along with educational institutions from within and outside the country.

Some of the well-known universities being presented are Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gajah Mada, Universitas Padjajaran, Universitas Diponegoro, Institut Pertanian Bogor, Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Universitas Hasanuddin, Politeknik Keuangan Negara STAN, Poltekkes Kesehatan, Universitas Atma Jaya, Universitas Terbuka, Bina Nusantara, Mercu Buana, and many more.

Moreover, abroad universities that will attend the ever are Russia (Kazan Federal University, Novosibirsk State Technical University, Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI”, HSE University), Australia (Torrens University, Central Queensland University), Singapore (James Cook University Singapore, Future Ready Academy, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University), Korea (Silla University, Donga University, Hanseo University, Sungkyungwan University, Sejong University), Hongkong (Vocational Training Council), India (Ratna Sagar, PLTD), Germany (Goethe Institute Indonesien), England (Accept- Ed Limited), Thailand (Mahidol University), and Spain (Campus Spain).

On Thursday (01/02) Jakarta, the Vice Director of WPCitra, Satrio Sukur on the 2024 IIETE launch stated, “For 32 years, IIETE has become the place for giving opportunities to young generations, especially high school students and its equivalents to explore numerous choices of college according to their interests, talents, and aspirations. We hope that IIETE becomes an effective medium in realizing their dreams and the young generations’ ambitions, as well as facilitate the growth and development of their potentials.”

Satrio Sukur added, the 2024 IIETE will not only become the platform to acquire information regarding higher education, but will also become a place to inspire all related parties to innovate and escalate transformation in the educational world. For that matter, during the 4 days event period, there will be seminars, workshops that discuss the latest and relevant issues regarding the development of the education industry.

Among the interesting events and programs, there will also be a talk show with the Directorate General of Higher Education and a session “Langkah Tepat menuju Studi di Luar Negeri” with education influencers, SNBT Try Out (free) by Nurul Fikri for 4 days of exhibition, and online IELTS Test by IALF Indonesia. For those who aim to study abroad, the scholarship and mentoring information can be directly acquired through the Scholarship Supermentor Forum by Mediacom.

Furthermore, Satrio Sukur also highlights the important aspect of technology integration in the learning process. At this year’s IIETE, other than a coding competition, WPCitra puts a collaboration with Indonesian Robot World (Dunia Robot Indonesia) also hold a national robotic competition “Indonesia Robotic Competition (INAROC)” for students in middle school and similar levels, as well as those in high school and equivalent educational stages.

“It is the first time INAROC will be held at the 2024 IIETE in hopes to promote creativity and develop a solid team to find an innovative solution in the world of robotics technology. There are several categories being contested, such as the junior scale there will be Sumo, Soccer, and Creative categories whereas the senior scale there will be Sumo, Soccer, and Creative. For all winners, there will be a cash prize with a total of more than USD1,274 (USD1 equals to Rp15,693), trophy, and an achievement certificate,” declared the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Robot World, Muhammad Ied.

Collaborating with Mediacom, students also have opportunities to acquire college scholarships through the Online Scholarship Competition (OSC), the first online scholarship competition in Indonesia presented by the Surya Edukasi Bangsa Foundation and Mediacom.id. Established in 2015, OSC has distributed approximately 3.350 undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships in the well-known universities in several cities in Indonesia. “We give full scholarships for students until graduation. They still can choose their desired major according to their passion,” said Head of Corporate Communication Medcom.id & OSC Scholarship, Herfindo Satria Gading.

IIETE also becomes the place for reconnecting and building a solid collaboration between teachers and related associations. At this year’s IIETE, there will be discussion forums between teachers with the Association of School Librarians to discuss the development of school libraries in Indonesia.

As the organizer, Wahyu Promo Citra will always increasing the expansion of the network of cooperation partners with the government through the Directorate General of Higher Education and DKI Jakarta Higher Education Department, as well as presenting a vary exhibitor so there will also be diverse relevant events with the improvement of higher education in Indonesia.

Satrio Sukur is optimistic with an interesting series of events, the 2024 IIETE can pique the interest of the 25 thousand visitors. Every year this exhibition is held in February, visited by more than 25 thousand visitors from different ages, especially senior high school students and equivalent educational stages from Jakarta and surrounding areas, including parents, teachers, college students, academicians, and professionals.
