Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia Modest Fashion designers’ community collaborates with PT Mediatama Binakreasi to hold the 6th Indonesia Modest Fashion Week (IMFW) on October 27—30, 2022. The event that will take place at Cendrawasih Hall Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta is expected to become the most influential modest lifestyle trendsetter in Indonesia which has wide market potential.
The fashion week aims to support modest fashion brands and designers by reconnecting the links and creating collaborations between countries. Showcasing a mix of fashion with the latest modest styles, IMFW brings the theme of In Love with Nature.
Founder of Indonesia Modest Fashion Week Jeny Tjahyawati said, “This year we hold the theme In Love with Nature to reflect that the modest fashion industry can create sustainable fashion trends with clothing made using raw materials that are safe for the ecosystem.” Jeny hoped that modest fashion can influence society to respect nature through the beauty of designs.
This 6th event will present multiple attractive programs, including fashion trade, fashion shows, business matching with Ajman Chamber United Arab Emirates (UAE), Youth Modest Fashion Summit, and fashion talk shows. Director of Mediatama Binakreasi Umi Noor Wijiati delivered, “IMFW will present the Ajman Chamber Dubai in the two-day business matching session, Friday and Saturday.” With the current situation, Umi expected the export of modest clothing will be more wide-extensive aligned with the government’s goal to realize Indonesia as the capital of world Muslim fashion.
Participated by 89 exhibitors, IMFW 2022 will feature well-known modest fashion designers, spanning Jeny Tjahyawati x Dekranasda Batu Bara, Lia Afif, Gita Orlin, Nina Nughroho, Lia Soraya, Darabirra, Sally AB, Wina Sadikin, Debby Tan, Tuty Adib, and Bella Hasura.
Other prominent designers will also showcase their prime collections, including Lady’s Tenun Klasik by Lina Dedy, Dwi Kartika Lestari, SI.SE.SA., Riris Ghofir, Rya Baraba, Novitasari, Madania Syar’i, Kamila Design, Mac Taug, TriFi by Ririe, and Spark Fashion Academy. The fashion week will also be participated by the Centre of Technology Excellence Sarawak (Centexs) and Sarawak’s designers.
With compelling programs and remarkable designers, IMFW 2022 targets 800 visitors per day. According Umi, the exhibition aims for Rp2.5 billion in retail transactions, equivalent to US$160,218 (US$1=Rp15,603).
The event is supported by Sariayu Martha Tilaar and Buccheri. In addition, government representatives also contribute to the 6th IMFW, spanning the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Ministry of Industry, BNI, Pelindo, and other regional governments.
