Heaptalk, Jakarta – Along with the digitalization transformation era that has urged the world, especially in the pandemic situation, Modena launched an innovation by perforating technology advance to their product in the form of Internet of Things (IoT).
As cited in IBM website, IoT is a vast network connecting things and people. The network built is linked by application – installed in a smartphone – and required internet connection so the devices that support IoT can be controlled through the apps without touching the product directly. This futuristic technology, further, is embedded in Modena home appliances.
In the product launch event held in Modena Suryo (28/04), the Company clearly stated the presence of IoT in their new products is aimed to provide a new experience to its customers to welcome to the future while delivering more convenience, particularly for them who are active and dynamic with high mobility.
“With tagline Future Inspired, Modena believed that the advanced technology and internet could deliver a tremendous contribution to human’s life in the future,” said Bagus Prastowo, the Director of Modena. “Inspired by people’s daily life that is more active, dynamic, and has high mobility, Modena designed several excellent home appliances that present a solution for our customer’s daily life transformation by adopting IoT feature,” added Bagus.
In addition, the products equipped with the technology include a water heater, island hood, smart vacuum cleaner, air purifier, and dishwasher. To support the customers’ experience towards this technology, Modena also launched the official application, known as Modena Smart.
In detail, Modena launched two series of water heaters provided by IoT technology, namely ES 15 SKY and ES 30 SKY. Both of these home appliances have a feature that allows the customer to remotely control the product, so people can turn on or turn off the device everywhere at any time. Apart from the water heater, Island Hood IX 4546 LSKY also is a Modena’s product that using IoT technology. In the product, Modena also has penetrated modern lifestyle concept to the Island Hood IX reflected by the alteration of the product’s design, from blocks to cylinder that makes the product looks unique and elegant. The island hood also has an LED lamp to help customers check their cuisine when cooking.
Modena, moreover, launched Dishwasher WP 2061 SKY that provides auto dry+ feature, an automatic drying system after washing dishes. The feature has a function to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi to protect the customer from diseases. An LED lamp is engrafted in the tool that functions to help the customer set the tableware.
Robot Vacuum Cleaner RV 3320 LD enhanced with LDS Laser Navigation, namely advanced navigation system with a high-level accuracy and efficient mapping that creates a remotely pet-friendly product. The advantage of this vacuum cleaner lies in its self-cleaning and self-charging features that enable the product to automatically return to its station if the battery needs to be charged or the dust container is full.
To answer the public demand towards the current health issues, Modena presents Air Purifier AP 6034 SKY. The product is claimed to have a clean air delivery rate of 550 m3/hour that can clean a wide place with a coverage area of 60 m2.
