Heaptalk, Jakarta — After successfully organizing the Muslim Life Fair Jakarta, which claimed to attract 30,000 visitors last March, the series of events will be continued in Yogyakarta. The event will take place at Jogja Expo Centre (JEC) from 3 to 5 June 2022.

Muslim LifeFair Yogya is claimed as the organizer’s initial step to expand their coverage in promoting economic recovery in the post-pandemic. The measure is held by perceiving the high enthusiasm of the local entrepreneurs, particularly the members of the Community of Indonesia Muslim Entrepreneurs (KPMI), and also society to participate in the event.

“The event is expected to provide opportunities to entrepreneurs to move national economic wheels after being hit by the pandemic for two years. After the condition is conducive to carrying out the event, eventually, Muslim LifeFair Jakarta was held,” stated the Chairman of KPMI, Rachmat Surtanas Marpaung, during the Muslim LifeFair press conference (05/18).

Rachmat added that the response to the event is great and reached high people’s enthusiasm. Further, the entrepreneurs suggest holding the same event in other locations across Indonesia. In order to materialize the entrepreneurs’ desire and also promote economic recovery across Indonesia, Muslim LifeFair is eventually held in Yogyakarta.

The Director of Lima Events, Deddy Andu, believes that the decision to organize the Muslim Life Fair in Yogyakarta will be fruitful as the province contains exceptional potency of MSMEs’ halal products. Additionally, the region is home to many universities, a place where a million students live, thus, the place is fit its target market, namely millennials.

“We choose Yogyakarta as the venue due to the province having tremendous MSMEs potency, particularly in halal products. Since Yogyakarta has various amazing destinations, we are optimistic that our event that adopted the campaign #mlakumlaku, can attract people outside the region and lead them to visit the province. The measure will enhance the halal economy and local tourism,” Deddy said in a statement.

In the implementation, the festival will start from 10 am to 9 pm for three days. In an area of 1800m2, the total participations confirmed are 180 exhibitors. Around 80% of the participants derive from Yogyakarta, while the rest are from other cities around Yogyakarta. Attending the event, the visitor solely needs to purchase a ticket that is priced at Rp10,000.

In the event, lofty tenants are poised to deliver various halal products, spanning modest fashion, Islamic education, hobbies, and communities. Moreover, Islamic book and publisher, halal travel, thibbun nabawi herbs, beauty & pharmaceutical, and Halal, Safe, and Healthy Culinary (KHAS), is going to follow the event.

Regardless of its product bazaar, the festival also will contain outstanding agenda, such as a talk show, book review, meet and greet with the writers, storytelling, kids corner, Kid’s town, and also a job fair.

On the talk show, the organizer and its related parties have prepared interesting themes, including export, digital marketing, social media, and training about how to build a culinary business, etc.

“We hope that the event can bring multiple benefits, both for the exhibitors and for visitors,” stated Andu in his close statement.  (WLN)
