Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) recorded an 8.5% YoY increase in its total revenue, attaining US$2.35 billion (around Rp37.4 trillion) for the first nine months of 2023 (9M23). Multiple business lines, spanning cellular, MIDI, and Fixed Telecom, contributed to this outstanding enhancement.
According to the company, this enhancement of revenue and cost optimization also increased EBITDA by 24.0% YoY, reaching Rp17.4 trillion. The company claimed this growth also generated an EBITDA margin of 46.6% in 9M23. Meanwhile, Profit for the Period Attributable to the owners of the parent entity reached Rp2.7 trillion.

On the other hand, this telecommunication company continued strengthening a 4G network in East Nusa Tenggara and has reached 80% of the population in this region, with the addition of a network transmitter (site), which can increase mobile internet up to twofold capacity.
The company has partnered with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Digital Transformation Center Initiatives (DTCI) to amplify digital literacy and facilitate digital skills training devoted to underserved society, mainly rural areas.
Based on the company perspective, this strategic cooperation is a primary pillar and strategic approach of IOH company to empower digital Indonesia. Concurrently, Indosat also announced its affiliation with Cisco to introduce a cyber training course, Cisco Networking Academy, in the IDCamp Indosat training program.
Also, Indosat Ooredo continued to develop several Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework initiatives by reducing emissions and energy consumption, including installing solar panels, efficient batteries, and sleep cell mode throughout the BTS network.
Multiple Company Social Responsibility (CSR) of Indosat are also being strengthened, including IDCamp and SheHacks, expected to broaden inclusion and digital and gender equality. Indosat also maintains its privacy and data protection systems to ensure they meet the highest security standards.
