Heaptalk, Jakarta – Showcasing its existence, Nissan has participated in the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2022, which is held on 11-21 August at ICE BSD. Following this biggest automotive expo in Southeast Asia, Nissan delivers its electric vehicle’s (EV) transformation represented through The All-New Nissan LEAF and Nissan Kicks e-POWER.

We provide an innovative solution in terms of electric mobility by presenting The All New Nissan LEAF and Nissan Kicks e-power,” stated Tan Kim Piauw, Sales & Marketing Director of PT. Tan added The All-New Nissan LEAF is the first mass-marketed electric vehicle that to date, has attained a sales rate of over 500,000 units worldwide. Perceiving people’s great enthusiasm for the product, The All-New Nissan LEAF is revamped by amplifying the exterior performance. This transformation is performed to present additional value, which increases the users’ confidence.
Reshaping its products, Nissan has escalated the battery capacity of its all-electric vehicle variants from 1.57kWh to 2.06kWh, which further enables the driving estimation to rise by 30% with EV Mode. The Company also has upgraded the EV’s power, from 129PS to 136PS as well as its torque, from 260Nm to 280Nm. Supported by a modern and trendy design, Nissan is optimistic about delivering a great experience to its consumers through these products.
Regarding the improvement, Tan also mentioned the products has equipped with other Nissan’s revolutionary technology, such as an e-pedal that reduces drivers’ complexity in moving from one pedal to another pedal. E-POWER technology, initially launched in Indonesia during Nissan Kicks, allows its users to enjoy electric vehicles without an external charger. By employing the system, Nissan EV products are 100% driven by an electrical motor, while a gasoline engine is solely utilized to charge battery power. Through this innovation, Nissan has increased fuel usage efficiency in its products.
“Nissan Intelligent Mobility is also installed in these EVs, such as Smart Rear View Monitor (SRVM), and Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS) spanning: Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Around View Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD), Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Cruise Control (CC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), etc.” implied Tan on Nissan press conference (11/07).
In addition to exhibiting its EV products, Nissan also introduces its legendary SUV, Nissan New Terra VL 2.5 (4×4) A/T, and other Nissan models, including Nissan Magnite, Nissan Serena, and Nissan Livina at Hall 3E ICE BSD, during GIIAS 2022.
