Zoom organized the Work Transformation Summit 2023 to discuss the most applicable way to meet customers’ expectations and uses data to identify emerging trends.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — In the midst of uncertain economic conditions, companies may tend to take a stand to avoid major changes. Leaders may see rising inflation and economic turmoil as signals that they should wait for the digital transformation strategy to be implemented.

Zoom Video Communications, Inc. organized the Work Transformation Summit 2023 on February 2 aiming to look at how organizations can embrace change, even when the economy is uncertain. The event discussed the most applicable way to meet customers’ expectations and uses data to identify trends and increase revenue without increasing risk.

Several prominent speakers enlivened the Work Transformation Summit 2023, including Chief Financial Officer at Zoom Kelly Steckelberg, Head of Asia Pacific at Zoom Ricky Kapur, industry leaders from global market intelligence service provider IDC, and strategic consulting firm Metrigy Research.

Further, a number of key points from the discussion span innovating to navigate current conditions, developing technology to improve the quality of customer and employee experience, and building a strong team through knowledge development.

● Innovating to navigate current conditions

Amidst the current economic uncertainty, the role of technology is becoming increasingly crucial. Ricky Kapur saw the need for new and innovative approaches to connect employees, customers, and colleagues who are spread globally. Kelly Steckelberg added, “We believe that creativity is an important tool that can help companies turn uncertainty into opportunity.”

When they have reserve funds to invest, companies can rationalize and simplify their IT infrastructure to move and develop faster. Communication and collaboration have become an essential part of an organization’s IT strategy, primarily when the organization is transitioning to a new way of working through remote and hybrid.

● Developing technology to improve the quality of the customer and employee experience

Companies can leverage technology in a number of ways to improve the quality of the customer and employee experience, including making daily workflows more efficient, teaching students in a more personalized way, and redesigning physical spaces such as meeting rooms to increase flexibility.

Head of Information Communications & Technology for The Disability Trust Ian Treweek emphasized that the increased flexibility, as a result of the shift to a hybrid work style, has created favorable conditions for employees and the company. Further, employees can enjoy a better balance of work and personal life. This condition also guarantees team dynamism as they can work different working hours throughout the day.

Ricky Kapur said, “We understand that a hybrid style of work and collaboration has a broader meaning than just providing a venue for meetings. It also means keeping the relationships between employees alive, making it easier for them to build relationships in a hybrid environment, and being able to provide a good mix of in-office collaboration with flexibility and productivity.”

● Building a strong team through knowledge development

Conversation with artificial intelligence (AI) is a high-value tool for business leaders looking to increase efficiency and sales. For example, Zoom’s conversation intelligence software, Zoom IQ for Sales, has helped sales teams overcome various hurdles during the sales cycle. The tool can also provide input to sales leaders and their teams on how they can improve the quality of conversations with customers.

According to Head of Zoom IQ for Sales Kenny Scannell, some of the benefits that Zoom consumers have experienced directly include the ability to listen to customer sentiments, increase productivity for the entire team, and help empower the sales team to work more effectively.
