Heaptalk, Jakarta — Located in Alam Sutera, South Tangerang, Vivo officially launched the Vivo V50 on Thursday (03/13). “This mid-range smartphone from the V series brings a range of upgrades, particularly in the camera and its features,” said Alexa Tiara, PR Manager at Vivo Indonesia.

Available in three color options, namely blissful purple, solid black, and harmony red, the Vivo V50 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, with RAM options ranging from 8 GB to 12 GB and storage up to 512 GB. It comes with a 6,000 mAh battery and 90 W fast charging. The smartphone runs on Android 15. Alexa said, “This massive battery can be used to watch YouTube for 21 hours non-stop, and to play PUBG for 9 hours non-stop. The Vivo V50 is also said to last 2 hours even when the battery is down to just 1%.”

This smartphone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2392 pixels, HDR10+ support, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits. Diamond Shield Glass protects the display. Despite the large battery, this smartphone remains thin, at only 7.39 mm.

The front camera is also 50 MP. “With the 50 MP Zeiss Ultra Wide-Angle camera and the Zeiss Group Portrait feature, users can capture up to 30 people in one frame without distortion. This feature is claimed to make faces look clear and natural. There’s also the Live Photo feature to capture moving images,” she added.

Furthermore, this device is certified with IP68/IP69 ratings, making it dustproof and waterproof. It can even be submerged underwater for up to 30 minutes up to a depth of 1.5 meters. It also comes equipped with various advanced features. One of the standout features is the ZEISS Group Portrait, which uses smart algorithms to enable optimal group photo capture.
