Heaptalk, Jakarta—Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif is optimistic that the community’s electricity supply will be reliable during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah.

During his visit to the Gresik Steam Gas Power Plant (PTLGU) on Thursday (04/04), Arifin appreciated the State Electricity Company’s (PLN) efforts to maintain a reliable electricity system for the community. “PLN has taken significant steps to overcome bottlenecks in the electricity system. For all physical and technical readiness, I think everything is safe. PLN has taken anticipatory and preventive steps towards systems and programs,” said Arifin.

Arifin also emphasized that PLN carries out regular checks, ensuring that the electricity supply is reliable and safe during this Eid al-Fitr moment and as part of its routine operations. He said, “This aims to maximize service, and there is no electricity disruption for the community.”

On the same occasion, PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo, represented by Generation Management Director Adi Lumakso, explained that the national electricity system during the Ramadan and Idul Fitri alert period 1445 H on April 3-19, 2024, is in a safe condition. Meanwhile, the fuel supply is also in good condition, with average reserves reaching 14.3 HOP in all regions of the country.
