Heaptalk, Jakarta — A waste management startup, Waste4Change, has officially partnered with Indonesia’s celebrity and entrepreneur, Luna Maya. The investment activity marks this strategic cooperation Luna pours into this startup, aiming to realize more responsible and optimal waste management in Indonesia.
Previously, Waste4Change startup and Luna, through its business NAMA Beauty, have obtained capital injection from the leading venture capital firm in Southeast Asia, AC Ventures. Both parties have recorded their existence in this VC ecosystem as the AC Venture’s portfolio.
The participation of Luna in the Waste4Change division will foster the evolution of this startup service in several sectors, including collaboration with multiple developers from housing, property, commercial areas, and tourism managers. This waste management startup also aims to reactivate its business-to-customer (B2C) service, expecting not solely to serve the companies yet to involve the individuals in the country.

Before being affiliated with a range of investors, Luna Maya was known to have been a client of this startup’s Personal Waste Management service. As it is known, this Waste4Change’s waste management is a rubbish collection service directly from home to ensure that the client’s waste is carried safely, segregated, and processed responsibly. This strict waste management process aims to gain optimal recycling processes and reduce the amount of garbage in Final Processing Sites.
Since its establishment in 2014, Waste4Change has focused on offering holistic waste management solutions for households and companies. The company actively offers four solutions supported by technology and partnerships: Consult, Campaign, Collect and Create.
According to the official website, Waste4Change startup has generated about 22,000 active users and has managed more than 31,000 tons of trash. From now on, the startup targets to enhance its waste management service by up to 2,000 tons per day. To date, waste management services have been covered in several areas, including Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Semarang, Bandung, and Medan.
